Bayer Wins Approval from FDA for Prostate Cancer Drug

This week regulators from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved a Bayer AG new drug to treat certain forms of prostate cancer that are advanced. The drug will be sold under the name Xofigo and is meant to be used for prostate cancer that has already spread into the patient’s bones, but not into other organs, in men who previously received therapy designed to reduce testosterone.
