How to Effectively Get Rid of Kidney Stones
Having a kidney stone means the presence of stones in your kidney. The symptoms are pretty evident especially by the excruciatingly unbearable pain in the back that moves to the sides and the lower abdomen. People also have a horrible pain when trying to pass urine. Those most susceptible to kidney stones are those who drink too little water and /or have a family history of them. Kidney stones are made primarily of calcium oxalates and men are more at risk of developing them.
- There are some things that you can do to either prevent or get rid of them but it is important to do this at a very early stage.
- Try lemon juice as it has been shown to be an effective remedy to kidney stones.
- Take one tablespoon of basil leaf or tulsi leaf juice daily for one month.
- Mix horse gram tea using 2 teaspoons of horse grams. Take it with a paste made from pomegranate seeds.
- Goldenrod is a known to be a great remedy for kidney stones.
- Make linseed tea by boiling linseeds in a cup of water, with lemon and honey. Consumed 3 times a day, this is said to offer relief from kidney stones.
- If you experience bleeding with a kidney stone, use herbs like shepherd’s purse, horsetail, and St. John’s wart to reduce bleeding.
- If these do not provide relief and help you get rid of your kidney stone, your doctor may try any of the following ways to help you:
- For very large stones, shock treatment may be used to break down the stones so that you can pass them in your urine. This involves passing an electric shock into the stones.
- Tunnel surgery means making an incision in the back where the doctor can reach into where the stone is located. By putting special equipment into the tunnel, the stone is eliminated.
- Your doctor may choose to use an ureteroscope to rid you of your kidney stones. This is an instrument that is inserted into the urethra up to where the stone is located. The ureteroscope pulls out the stone.
While you may try any of these methods either on your own, or with your doctor, never ignore any danger signs. It is always best to check with your doctor for an accurate diagnosis.
