Starting a weight loss program is always difficult. But, once you get started, the end results are rewarding. But, where do you begin? What do you do? And how long should all of this take?
Begin now. But, don’t just get up and throw an exercise DVD in the DVD player. Find out your weight and measure your body inches. Find out what your weight should be in proportion to your height. Note all of this information. And for fun even take a picture of yourself before your weight loss and after you get to your goal. You will be so proud of yourself, and won’t believe the difference.
Once you know your ideal weight, you need an eating plan. There are plenty of books and magazines and information online that will provide you eating plans. Whatever you choose, just make sure you are getting the necessary calorie intake per day. Depending on your weight, the average is usually 2500 calories a day. But, this is not written in stone and you should do your research to find out your proper calorie intake.
Drink lots of water. Experts say 7 eight ounce glasses a day will help you stay hydrated. Water also helps to accelerate your metabolism and detoxify your body. So, it is crucial for effective weight loss to drink plenty of water.
You need an exercise regimen that will not only burn fat, but tone your muscles. If you’re very new at this, joining a gym and have someone on their staff get you started on a proper training program that will help you effectively lose weight. If you are not interested in joining a gym, there great exercise programs on DVD that are effective. They usually come with a diet program and instructions on how to make that particular program effective for you. One program I do recommend is called Beachbody.com. They have several effective programs that will help you lose weight.
If you stay consistent with your new diet and workout plan, you will begin to see a difference in your body in just a short few weeks!
